Verstappen Fumes: Red Bull Delivers 'Super Dangerous' Botch Job Again

Ah, the British Grand Prix. A race that ended for Max Verstappen with an involuntary gravel trap excursion at Stowe, six laps from the end. While others fought for the champagne, our three-time world champion could look forward to an early shower. And that while, despite the usual Red Bull drama, he was actually still fighting for the podium. Impressive indeed, with a car that seemingly spent more time in the pits than on the track, at least mentally.
But well, let's be honest: was there ever a moment the Limburger wasn't complaining? It started with a 'sublime' setup balance that made the car dance like a drunken llama at a carnival. On top of that came the charming, but oh so surprising, electrical issues. And of course, as if that weren't enough, the gearbox decided to take on a life of its own. A true masterpiece of reliability, it seems.
The straw that broke the camel's back—or in this case, landed the car in the gravel trap—was, naturally, that wing again. 'Super dangerous', it was dubbed. And rightly so! After all, who wants to see a piece of carbon fiber go its own way at 300 kilometers per hour? It seems the engineers at Red Bull were already unwrapping their Christmas presents in July, judging by the concentration they had left for the finer points of aerodynamics.
Verstappen's frustration afterwards? Completely understandable. It is almost a miracle he didn't personally address the pit wall regarding this ongoing botch job. After all, he holds a subscription to winning races, not to testing the latest gravel trap variations. Perhaps Red Bull should consider hiring a few duct tape specialists; that would probably save a few million in failed parts.
