Ho-Pin Tung relives past in BMW Sauber at Goodwood
Former Formula 1 test driver Ho-Pin Tung got back behind the wheel of a historic BMW Sauber F1 car during the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

During the annual Goodwood Festival of Speed, Ho-Pin Tung made a notable appearance. The driver, who previously gained Formula 1 experience as a test driver, got behind the wheel of a classic BMW Sauber machinery.
The car in question was specifically the one Robert Kubica drove during the 2007 season. Goodwood is renowned for bringing together modern and iconic race cars alike, and this historic F1 machine undoubtedly drew plenty of attention from the crowd.
Tung shared a nice anecdote himself; he still fit surprisingly well into the tight cockpit originally tailored for Kubica. It goes to show that certain things—and the physical condition required for them—seem relatively timeless in Formula 1.
For Tung, it was a special experience to bring the powerful F1 machine back to life on Goodwood's famous hillclimb, reliving a slice of Formula 1 history firsthand.
