Aston Martin faces a crucial moment with the introduction of a comprehensive upgrade package. In Hungary, the final race before the summer break, the team is bringing its first major updates of the season to the track.
These new parts are specifically aimed at tackling the weaknesses of the AMR26 chassis. The scale of the modifications is substantial, making it almost fair to describe it as a completely overhauled package.
Driver Lance Stroll underlines the urgency of this development. He warns that if the package in Hungary fails to deliver the desired result, later engine updates from Honda will not be enough to solve the problems.
The improvements to the Honda engine are scheduled for after the summer break, with the Dutch GP as the provisional introduction point. First, however, it remains to be seen whether the chassis modifications in Hungary can give the team the required step forward.
