Russell expects 'better racing' through energy management at Silverstone

George Russell is approaching the anticipated energy management challenges at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone with optimism. Although drivers may have to adapt to handling energy more intensively, he expects this will actually lead to more exciting racing.
Russell acknowledges that the increased demand for energy management will be a tough task for drivers. Nevertheless, he contends that this factor will ultimately benefit the racing, similar to scenarios previously seen in Australia and China.
The season opener in Melbourne, which also demanded such an approach, drew mixed reactions. Some spectators appreciated the chaotic nature and the 'yo-yo' effect that emerged during battles on track.
Looking ahead to Silverstone, a circuit that will likewise demand plenty of energy from the F1 cars, Russell remains positive. The Mercedes driver is convinced that the need to manage available energy strategically will intensify on-track battles.
