F1 Teams Launch Wave of Upgrades for Belgian GP
With an impressive total of twenty-one modifications, Formula 1 teams continue developing their cars in a bid to gain the upper hand at the fast Spa-Francorchamps.

The Formula 1 grid presents an impressive total of twenty-one technical innovations for the Belgian Grand Prix. This underscores the ongoing development race for the 2026 cars, where teams constantly seek marginal gains. Notably, only Ferrari and Aston Martin made the trip to Spa without updates.
Racing Bulls and Haas draw particular attention with extensive packages. Racing Bulls introduces four non-circuit-specific modifications, including revised sidepod bodywork and a new rear wing assembly to improve downforce efficiency. Haas also brings four changes, featuring a new front wing design with an intriguing 'J-shaped' connection near the nose that rivals will watch closely.
Modifications can also be found at the top of the field. Mercedes refined the front wing endplate and worked on rear brake drum winglets, alongside a Spa-specific rear wing for lower downforce. Red Bull, having previously dropped its 'Macarena' wing, has now revised the pylons to optimize load.
The rest of the field is equally busy. Williams modified the floor profile and introduced Spa-focused brake duct changes. McLaren presents a new rear wing assembly and a revised endplate. Alpine mounted a winglet on the halo, while Audi and Cadillac also implemented various aerodynamic adjustments.
This wave of modifications highlights the intensity of the competition and the constant pursuit of speed. Teams continuously search for the right balance for both the specific demands of Spa-Francorchamps and the overall performance of their cars. The battle for every millisecond continues unabated.
